Simmons is committed to the academic success of its students. Whether you need in-depth assistance or a little help to become a more polished writer, we tailor our services to fit your needs.

Office Hours and Appointments

The Simmons Writing Center is housed in the computer lab within the Simmons Library (1000 S 4th St, Louisville, KY 40203). Beginning with the Spring 2024 semester, the Writing Center will offer daily office hours in the library. During these allotted times, students may come in and ask for help without an appointment. On other days and at other times, students must make an appointment with the coach of their choice. There is no guarantee someone will be available without an appointment.

Group Workshops and Events

The Writing Center offers workshops on writing and citation during the academic year. Most of these workshops are conducted in the Writing Center and are also offered virtually via Zoom. The Writing Center also puts on events each semester. Check your Canvas announcements and Simmons email for upcoming workshops, events, and details on how to register.
